Introduction

Oftentimes, life can feel like it is passing you by, and you’re not getting the chance to actually live it. Daily tasks and taking on different roles can make you feel overwhelmed, out of control,  anxious, and even depressed. Your body may begin to exhibit the signs of your overwhelm through exhaustion, and if you live with a chronic illness, you may find yourself feeling like it is an uphill battle.

When you lack emotional support, it may be difficult to be present and feel confident about making good decisions.  At times, you can clearly see the when or why of how you are feeling. Other times, it is not so obvious, and the feeling of low self-esteem, overwhelm, and depression may be rooted in Childhood Emotional Neglect or a traumatic experience. These experiences may be hard to notice, but likely affect relationships and areas of your life that you are having difficulty with.

You’re tired of just “managing” and are ready to thrive, and are ready to find a path to a calmer, more confident you. If you are ready to work through these challenges, experiences, thoughts, and feelings, I am here to reassure you that there is a brighter future ahead. Together, we will be able to navigate through your experiences and understand what lies beneath them. I’m excited to see what lies ahead for you, as we face those challenges head-on with a new outlook and fresh perspective.

My Approach

In our work together, you can expect to experience a collaborative, supportive, and purposeful approach. I strive to help you understand what you are experiencing, gain insight into your behaviors and figure out what is working for you… and what’s not.

Through supportive talk sessions, I will help you learn to assess situations so that you feel more in control and are able to make decisions calmly and confidently. My approach invites you to become empowered by gaining an understanding of what is happening inside you and around you with more clarity and better coping tools.

I am here to provide you with the support you need to feel in control and ready to better handle situations so that your feelings of overwhelm continue to decrease. By creating a calm environment in our sessions, we can focus on deeper issues that may be triggers and form coping strategies that are unique to you and work for you. My work is trauma-informed and integrates other types of treatment, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which will help you learn how to approach situations in a more practical and effective manner.
